ATESOL NT is the Association of Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages in the Northern Territory. Our members work within a range of contexts including primary and secondary school education, adult new arrivals programs, ELICOS (Charles Darwin University), tertiary studies and research programs.
We aim to support all teachers and learners of English as an additional language/dialect within the NT. We offer workshops and seminars which cater for all professionals working in the TESOL field and welcome mainstream teachers with ESL students.
What does ATESOL NT membership offer?
- To represent and support the teachers involved in teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages
- To provide opportunities of professional development to all teachers in the Northern Territory on topics relevant to both migrant and Indigenous education
- To provide a network for teachers in all localities to be able to share ideas and communicate with each other
- To provide a national network through ACTA
